ASSOCIATED PRESS WEIGHS IN ON CHICAGO'S CAMERAS

The national news is painting our camera system in a positve light. The police on the streets don't seem to think they're worth a damn. At least from what I read on SCC. I have not heard much from our local press about them. If they were solving crimes I would expect it to be reported by the local news. How do our dispatchers and other OEMC employees feel about them?

    We have people in our own building that are suppose to be watching those cameras and are sleeping or reading books, while supervisors are playing games on their computers.

    Plus almost half of the cameras are broken or do not record any video feed.

    Thanks Mr. mayor for wasting more of our tax dollars!
